Crary's Safety Students Have Partnered with the Crary St. Mary's Radio Patrol To Keep The Community Safe

Crary Safety Students

Crary students were invited to the City Council Building to receive City issued badges and to be introduced to the City Council by Council Member Kwame Kenyatta as citizens who are actively participating in the safety of their community.

Mrs. Aretha Walker, Chairperson of the Crary St. Mary's Radio Patrol, arranged for Crary students to receive 2-way radios that will be used to communicate with designated Crary staff and community members to report situations that could result in harm to students or others in the community.

Thank you, Mrs. Walker and Cray's Safety Patrol - Jemesa Jackson, Jerome Topey.. Corey Mosley: Robert Dackery, Brittany McElrath, Cha'Kyria Smith, Shae Christian, DeAngelo Stewart, Marcus Moore, Mickeal Gates, Malik Smith, Jamari Jackson and Louis Goggans, for your commitment to the community.

Thanks also to Wayne County Commissioner Alisha Bell who arranged for the transportation of the students to the Coleman Young Building.

The CSRP Board would like to thank all our radio patrol volunteers who worked during the Angels' Night Patrols on October 29, 30 & 31.

We are very proud of our husband and wife teams. They were:

Mr. & Mrs. Isaiah McGee

Mr. & Mrs. Melvin Pugh

Mr. & Mrs. John Byrd

Mr. & Mrs. Steve Scaggs

Mr. & Mrs. Mark Schlueter

These couples really know how to keep the spark of romance in their marriage plus believe in staying involved in their community.

Larry Tomic, Carleen Ford and Jorossi Watt from the City Clerk Office stopped by our base on October 31st to check if they could be of any assistance.

A Thank You for all the volunteers who patrolled the area and drove residents to the poll places in our community during Election Day. It was exciting to see all the young, first timer voters going to the poll.
